Finally Antigua

Well, it's really happened. The Antigua cards have finally arrived in Canada. Today, 78 days after I posted them , 2 cards arrived from Antigua, the last 2 outstanding from our recent cruise. I dropped them in the mail on Nov 12th, 2017. They received a January 9th, 2018 postmark.  Talk about Snail Mail.

First , let's look at Nelson's Dockyard overlooking the waters of English Harbour. The Dockyard is a cultural heritage site in English Harbour. It is part of Nelson's Dockyard National Park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is named after Admiral Horatio Nelson, who lived in the Royal Navy Dockyard from 1784-1787.

Very little choice in stamps on that day in St. John's. Just definitives. So here is 1 of 13 in a Flora Definitives set from 2007.

My second card from Antigua is from My Lovely Teena. It shows Jolly Beach Resort, the largest all inclusive resort in Antigua.  We didn't stay there this time but we were guests  many , many years ago. It was a great resort then and I'm sure it's still a great place. Downtown St. John's is just 10 km from the resort.

Same stamp on this one, so no need to show it again.

There you have it. The last 2 cards from my recent cruise. Thanks Teena for your card. I should be back here in a day or so depending on what I find in the mailbox this week.
