Serbia, France, Singapore and China

It was a busy weekend but I did survive. Now I have a little time for postcards. And here they are. Lets's start with two from Ana and and both are from Serbia. Ana's first arrived from the city of Subotica. Located in the north , near the border with Hungary, it is the northernmost city in the country.

Ana used a quite recent ( 18 May ) stamp, 1 of 5 in a set commemorating the 95th Anniversary of the PTT Museum in Belgrade.

Ana's second card is from Novi Sad, another city in northern Serbia. Founded in 1694, it's located on the banks of the Danube River. On this card  we see Vladicanski dvor, the Bishop's Palace which was completed in 1901.

It's another stamp from 2018 on this one. This one is from a set of 2 called Cities of Serbia. The central Serbian city of Kragujevac is featured here.

Be sure and check out Ana's fine postcard blog called " My World of Postcards and Travels " . You can see it right here .

Next is a card from France. You can see on it the belfry of Douai. Douai is a commune in northern France. Located on the river Scarpe, some 40 km from Lille, it is home to one of the region's most impressive belfries. The belfry in Douai was begun in 1830 . Standing 80 m  high , the structure includes a carillon, consisting of 62 bells. The chimes are rung every quarter-hour. In 2005 the belfry was included as part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, listed as Belfries of Belgium and France.

A Postcrosser named Cathy sent this card along. She used a Marianne worldwide rate stamp.

Jobbo's card from Singapore shows The Buddha Relic Temple at China Town.  Built between 2002 and 2005, this Buddhist Temple and Museum complex is said to house the tooth relic of the historical Buddha.

The stamp on this one is from a 2002 Joint Issue with Malaysia. It's 1 of 4 in the Birds set.

Today's final card arrived from China. I'm not sure what the comments on the front say, but with the airplane flying overhead, I'll classify it as an aviation themed card.

The card did arrive though with some fine stamps. The large stamp on the left is from a set of 4 issued in 2016 for Chinese Classical Literature - Dream of the Red Chamber.  The stamp on the top right is also from a set of 4 issued in 2017 celebrating Foreign Composers. The smaller red stamp, I wasn't able to find any info on it, so it is what it is.

There you have it, another update complete . Thanks for cards today go out to Ana, Cathy, Jobbo and Wu.
Hope you enjoyed today's cards and stamps. Take care.
