On the Thanksgiving subject, I was able to come up with a few Thanksgiving postcards. Here are the first two and for some reason they all include a turkey.

Now here are a few regular postcards. First is a card from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Canary Islands. This municipality was founded on 24 June 1478. On the card we can see the first church in the Canaries. Construction on Santa Ana Cathedral was started around 1500 and was not completed until almost four centuries later.

Card # 2 is from a Postcrosser in Oklahoma, U.S.A. This card shows a sight found along historic Route 66 at Catoosa, Oklahoma. Originally built as a one of a kind wedding anniversary present, the Blue Whale is one of the most unique attractions on Route 66. The 80 foot grinning whale can be viewed along the road.

My next card is one more from Wallis & Futuna Islands. A nice looking card showing the power and beauty of Wallis .

The last card for this time is somewhat of a mystery. It is from Sofia, Bulgaria , but I have no idea who sent this one. The front of the card shows a number of Bulgaria Treasures. Bulgaria is a country with an ancient cultural heritage- third in Europe after Italy and Greece. Among these treasures is the oldest worked gold in the world, dating back to the 6th-5th millennia B.C.

That wraps up another update, but before I sign off , I just want to end this Thanksgiving Day update with a couple more Thanksgiving postcards. Here are the final two cards.

Like the two up top, turkeys again. What can I say ! Thanks to all who sent these cards and have a good day.
